Configure CRS booking engine availability screen for the full booking engine

Follow the steps below to configure CRS booking engine availability screen for the full booking engine.

  1. Go to Property Description.

  2. Click on Branding.

  3. Go to IBE Setting.

  4. Calendar driven shopping version of the availability page:

    1. Check if opting for the calendar drive shopping experience visit the article to configure.

    2. Uncheck to proceed with the full booking engine.

  5. Default view – choose one of the three options in the dropdown for the default display availability page. Shoppers can still navigate between these options on the page.

    • Grid view - displays blocks of various offer types (rooms, rates, featured or curated offers, etc).

    • List view - displays available rates in a list, followed by rooms for each rate.

    • Price view - displays each room/rate combination in order of price from lowest to highest.

    • IBE Block one, two, three and four - choose the display in each block in the availability return. Depending on your selling strategy you may use some or all of these.

    • Featured product - specific rates may display in this block as configured in the following step. These rates will repeat in the Rate & Package blocks if configured.

    • Rate and package - displays all available rates and packages, along with rooms associated with each.

    • Room type - displays all available rooms, along with rates and packages associated with each.

    • Curated rate - the lowest price point of a specific set of rates may display in this block as configured. These rates will repeat in the Rate & Package blocks if configured.

  6. Featured Product one, two, three and four - indicate specific rates or packages to show in the featured product block. Up to four may be configured to display.

    1. Choose rate or package from dropdown.

    2. Enter the rate or package code in the field.

    3. Repeat to add up to four featured products.

📌Note: This is a good option if offers will consistently be available as the user is telling the system to only use specific rates for these blocks. Rate & Package or Room Type blocks will always show all available offers in the order defined in the room and rate configuration.

  7. Curated rate codes one, two and three - the lowest rate out of a defined list will return.

    1. To enable, enter the rate codes for the system to pick the lowest price point for up to three grouping.

📌Note: Rate & Package or Room Type blocks will always show all available offers in the order defined in the room and rate configuration.

  8. List view collapse –reduce the amount of scrolling for your shoppers if you have a lot of rooms or rates. Limit the list view return to a certain amount of rooms or rates for the shopper to expand to see them all.

    • Choose from the drop down:

      • No Collapse for standard view of all rooms/rates.

      • One rooms or rates displayed initially.

      • Two rooms or rates displayed initially.

      • Three rooms or rates displayed initially.

      • Four rooms or rates displayed initially.

      • Five rooms or rates displayed initially.

  9. Choose from the detail or landing page configuration for a specific offer or room type:

    • Enable calendar in room detail view - when enabled, the calendar appears open with relevant rates to this specific offer appearing in the detail view. Users may select alternate offers to view from the dropdown in the upper right. Add-ons also appear on this version of the detail page.

    • Enable calendar in rate detail view - when enabled, a calendar displays open with relevant rates for this specific offer appearing in the detail view. Users may select alternate offers to view from the dropdown in the upper right. Add-ons also appear on this version of the detail page.

    • Enable enhanced details view - this option uses a scrolling experience to review offers on individual room and rate detail pages.

    • Room detail single tab - if enabled, displays the description without a separate tab for amenities or policies in the room or rate detail view, not available with enhanced details view.

    • Rate detail single tab - if enabled, displays the description without a separate tab for policies or amenities in the room or rate detail view, not available with enhanced details view.

    • Reduced clicks to book - configure streamlined booking flow to skip the cart page and bring guests directly from the availability page to check out.

  10. Dynamic messaging configuration to choose from:

    • Rooms left upper limit - dynamic persuasive messaging. Once a room type's inventory is lower than this number, it will begin to display to communicate urgency to the guest booking.

    • Rooms sold lower limit - dynamic persuasive messaging. Once a room type is sold within a specific period of time (defined in the next field), it will begin to display to communicate urgency to the guest in the booking journey.

    • Past days for rooms sold - working in conjunction with rooms sold, enter the number of days in the past to attribute the number of rooms sold. This determines when to begin displaying the message in the booking journey.
