Global distribution system (GDS) static property content

Your hotel's CRS descriptive content ensures it's effectively showcased to potential bookers. Property-level static content is sent directly to Global Distribution System (GDS) channels via the CRS publishing function. This information helps agents select and book your property. You can update all information at any time directly in the CRS. All availability checks and booking confirmations will source real time information from the CRS.

โš ๏ธImportant: After making changes to static information to your propertyโ€™s content, open a support case for our team to publish the changes to the GDS's to ensure it is successful and confirm completion [email protected]

General rules for GDS static content

Follow these guidelines to ensure your propertyโ€™s content displays correctly across all GDS channels.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Naming conventions and appearance of this information may vary by GDS, corporate booking tools, or other user interfaces that use the GDS as source information.

  • Language: GDS specific text is entered in English with character and punctuation limitations.

  • Automatic formatting: The CRS removes unsupported punctuation and trims excess text and warns you when the content is updated.

  • Default content: If no GDS specific text is entered in any are of the CRS, relevant default content from the CRS is used up to character limitations.

  • Content strategy: Abbreviate descriptions rather than leaving out key selling features due to space limitations.

  • Supported punctuation: Period (.), slash (/), and dash (-) only.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: For adding or removing GDS images, open a support case with those details for processing. Our support team monitors and validates that content updates are successful.
