Simple Tax Mode is a configurable, streamlined tax setup option enabled per property. It replaces the standard tab-based tax configuration with a single-screen grid showing all available tax types in one view.
What Simple Tax Mode supports
Entering a percentage or flat amount per tax type.
Selecting a Base On calculation method (per person per night, per room per night, etc.).
Marking a tax as inclusive.
Marking a tax as an actual fee.
What Simple Tax Mode does not support
Date ranges (begin and end dates) on tax items.
Rate code-level tax assignments.
Room type-level tax assignments.
Compound tax calculations.
Max night limits.
GST (variable/banded) tax items.
Enter taxes in Simple Tax Mode

Go to Property Description.
Go to Tax.
Enter the value for each row for each type of tax.

Select the calculation method from the Base on dropdown.

Configure the optional tax item settings as required.
Inclusive: select if the tax is already included in the rate or add-on price in the CRS.
The rate breakdown still displays the tax calculation even though it is already included in the configured pricing.
Used in regions requiring tax-inclusive pricing display.
Actual fee: select to separate this item from taxes and apply as a fee only.
Total tax = items without Actual fee selected.
Total fee = items with Actual fee selected.
Click Save.
⚠️Important: The Tax Item, Assign to Rate Code, and Assign to Room Type tabs are not available in Simple Tax Mode. If you do not see those tabs, your property is configured in Simple Tax Mode.
If your property requires any unsupported features, such as scheduling a tax rate change for a future date, Simple Tax Mode does not accommodate that. In those cases, contact your support team to discuss transitioning to the standard tax configuration.
