Metasearch connectivity

The CRS integrates with metasearch partners to showcase your rates and direct guests to your direct booking engine. This overview covers how your CRS configuration affects metasearch display, guest booking paths and compliance requirements like Google's price accuracy standards.

Metasearch engines display real-time prices, availability, ratings and guest reviews from multiple sources. When guests select your hotel from metasearch results, they're directed through one of two paths:

  • Direct booking channel selection: Guests are directed via deep link URL to your booking engine page, capturing the reservation with metasearch referral tracking recorded on the booking record.

  • Online partner selection: Guests are directed to the selected OTA for booking completion.

Available metasearch partners

The CRS connects with various metasearch engines including Google, TripAdvisor, Derbysoft, Wihp, Hotelscan and additional partners. Each connection offers specific setup options and requirements detailed in partner-specific playbooks.

Google price accuracy compliance

Google requires price accuracy between displayed rates and actual booking engine prices. The CRS supports this through configurable deep link parameters that default shoppers to the booking engine's 'price view' display option. This specific deep link ensures guests land on lowest price point to match the rate they selected from the metasearch results.

Google free booking links

Google free booking links are set up by default for all CRS clients, allowing your property to participate in Google's free booking link program without additional configuration.

The Access Group also offers digital marketing services to enhance your metasearch presence and performance. Contact the support team to learn more about additional marketing support options [email protected]

Qualified rates

Most metasearch connections will automatically exclude qualified rates to ensure displayed rates match what all guests can book through the booking engine. This prevents situations where restricted rates appear in metasearch but aren't available to the general booking audience.
