Configure multi-currency booking and confirmation
Enable guests to book and confirm reservations in different currencies beyond your property's default currency.
The multi-currency feature allows rates to be booked in different currencies and recorded in the currency selected at the time of booking. This differs from the standard setting where reservations always confirm in your default currency.
Properties that accept reservations in more than one currency can use this booking engine feature. You configure rates, packages and add-ons individually for each currency to accommodate proper values, and booking links direct visitors to their selected currency.
📌Note: The PMS should also support this as the rate code on the booking indicates the confirmed currency.
Multi-currency booking enablement
With this feature enabled, you must present shoppers with a URL containing the currency variable during their booking journey. This passes the correct currency information so appropriate rates and currencies are offered and confirmed. The shoppers are only seeing one currency or the other on the screen.
You should map out the online journey to ensure guests see the appropriate currency and can navigate between currencies via links or buttons if needed.
⚠️Important: If rates aren't loaded or available for a specific currency that the guest chooses, the booking engine will not have any offers to display.
Below will outline how to enable this feature:
⚠️Important: Contact the Support team [email protected] to enable if you don't have access to the client manager menu.
With this feature enabled, a currency dropdown appears for rates, packages and add-ons to choose from as you load values against each element being sold in that currency. For packages, the rate and add-ons must also be configured for the same currency.
