Configure length of stay upsell offers
Set up automated upsell prompts to encourage guests to extend their stays with better per night pricing options.
The length of stay upsell modal displays during the booking process to encourage guests to consider extending their original stay. You can configure length of stay rules and rates for the system to present longer stay options with better average nightly rates, helping increase revenue while providing value to guests.
This optional feature integrates into your existing booking path and works alongside other upselling and add-on offerings.
When a guest selects an available offer, the system evaluates their selected dates and stay duration. If you've configured longer stay options to offer as upsells that have lower average nightly pricing, a modal appears showing alternative stay lengths β up to three at one time.
Example scenario: A guest selects a one-night stay. The system identifies that extending to two, three, or four nights would provide a lower average nightly rate for the same room type and rate code. The modal displays these options with messaging about the potential savings.
πNote: The modal displays length of stay upsells or, if the booking doesnβt qualify, the add-ons, but not both simultaneously. Add-ons continue to display in the cart in both booking flows.

Configure rates for upsell length of stay offers
Follow the steps below to learn how to create upsell length of stay offers.
Go to Rate Management.
Go to Rate Code.
Click on the Rate Code name.
Click the Modify tab.
Select the Enable LOS Upsell on IBE checkbox for rates you want to include in upsell options.
Click Save.
β οΈImportant: The rate originally chosen by the guest must also have this checkbox selected for length of stay offers to display.
Enable the booking engine display rules for upsell length of stay offers
Follow the steps below to enable the booking engine display rules for upsell length of stay offers.
Go to the Property Description menu.
Select Branding.
Click on the IBE Branding name you want to enable this functionality, and you will be brought to the Modify tab.
Check the IBE Upsell Modal checkbox to display the upsell modal in your booking path.
Click Save.
πNote: For chain-level functionality, if any properties within your chain have this feature enabled, the rate code and branding configuration checkboxes appear at chain level for efficient group management.
Configure upsell rules and display criteria for upsell length of stay offers
Follow the steps below to configure upsell rules and display criteria for upsell length of stay offers.
Go to Property Description menu.
Select Branding.
Go to the Upsell Modal Configuration tab.
Click Add new configuration.
Configure criteria for the first upsell block by entering the Cart nights from value.
πNote: The cart nights from sets the shortest length of stay that triggers the block, while cart nights to sets the longest.
Enter the cart nights to value for the same block.
Enter the block nights as the number of nights for the longer stay nights to offer as the upsell to the guest based on their original cart selection.
Enter the block rates from the drop down by selecting specific rate codes to offer.
Repeat steps to configure additional block nights and rates as needed up to three in total.
Click Save to save all entries.
Repeat add more rules for different cart nights.

Customize messaging in modal
The system includes default messaging that you can customize to better appeal to your guest demographics.
Default upsell messages:
Add nights: Add {0} Night.
Average savings: Save {0} avg per night if you stay {1} nights!
Default modal titles:
Main title: Stay more and save.
Subtitle: See how much you can save if you just stay a little longer.
