Admin audit logs

Monitor user activity and system changes affecting your pricing, inventory management, and availability controls through the Chain Manager’s admin audit logs. These logs provide detailed tracking of who made changes, when they were made, and what specific values were modified, helping you maintain operational transparency and troubleshoot issues.

Log availability varies based on your specific product configuration, contracted services, and custom integrations.

⚠️Important: Audit logs are retained in the system for 30 days after the action.


View rate overwrite change logs

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for rate overwrites.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Rate Change submenu.

  4. Click on Rate Overwrite Log tab.

  5. Enter search criteria:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Rate Category: Choose to narrow down rate code results.

    • Rate Code: Choose rate affected by changes.

    • Room type: Choose room type affected by changes.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will not appear.

  6. Click View for the output.

View season rate change logs

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for season rates.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Rate Change submenu.

  4. Click on Season Rate Log tab.

  5. Enter search criteria:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Rate Category: Choose to narrow down rate code results.

    • Rate Code: Choose rate affected by changes.

    • Room type: Choose room type affected by changes.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will not appear.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for season rate and rate overwrite change logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Date: Date affected by the change.

  • Event Date: Date the change was made in the system.

  • Weekday Pattern: Green indicates the DOW affected during the date range.

  • A1P - C4: Value entered for each level of occupancy and supplements.

  • Event: Activity indicator.

    • I indicates the rate was entered.

    • U indicates the rate was updated or changed.

    • X indicates the rate was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity, if the rate is updated via a connected RMS or PMS, this will be listed as the user.


View add-on pricing logs

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for add-on pricing.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Rate Change submenu.

  4. Click on Season Rate Log tab.

  5. Enter search criteria:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Add-on Category: Choose to narrow down add-on type results.

    • Add-ons: Choose add-on affected by changes.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for add-on pricing logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Event Date: Date the change was made in the system.

  • Date: Date affected by the change.

  • Date End: Last date affected by the change.

  • Weekday Pattern: Green indicates the DOW affected during the date range.

  • Price: Value entered for the add-on.

  • Event: Activity indicator.

    • I indicates the rate was entered.

    • U indicates the rate was updated/changed.

    • X indicates the rate was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity - if the rate is updated via a connected RMS or PMS, this will be listed as the user.


View inventory change logs for base inventory

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for base inventory.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Inventory Change.

  4. Click on Base Inventory log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Room type: Choose room type affected by changes.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will not appear.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for base inventory logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Inv Date: Date affected by the change.

  • Event Time: Date the change was made.

  • Allocated: Inventory assigned to be sold for that room type and date.

  • OOO: Inventory assigned as out of order.

  • Oversale: Inventory assigned for overselling.

  • Blocked: Inventory assigned to a group block.

  • Reserved: Number of rooms with reservations deducting from the inventory.

  • Available: Number of rooms available to sell.

  • Event: Activity indicator:

    • I indicates the inventory was entered.

    • U indicates the inventory was updated or changed.

    • D indicates the inventory was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity if updated via reservation it will read RESV, or show connected RMS or PMS system name.

  • Event ID: If the inventory change is due to a reservation creation or modification in the CRS or PMS, the confirmation number will display in this column.


View inventory change logs for room allotment

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for room allotment.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Inventory Change.

  4. Click on Allotment Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Room type: Choose specific room type affected by changes or all room types.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will not appear.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for room allotment logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Inv Date: Date affected by the change.

  • Event Time: Date the change was made.

  • Room Type: Affected room type by the change.

  • Detail: Specific rate code assigned allocation if blank, assumes group blocks.

  • Allocated: Number of rooms in total assigned to allotments or blocks.

  • Reserved: Number of reservations made from rooms allocated.

  • Event: Activity indicator.

    • I indicates the inventory was entered.

    • U indicates the inventory was updated or changed.

    • D indicates the inventory was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity if updated via reservation it will read RESV.


View inventory changes for sell limits

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for sell limits.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Inventory Change.

  4. Click on Sell Limit Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made - searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Room type: Choose specific room type affected by changes.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will not appear.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for sell limits logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Inv Date: Date affected by the change.

  • Event Time: Date the change was made.

  • Room Type: Affected room type by the change.

  • Detail: Specific rate code or rate code group assigned a limit.

  • Allocated: Number of rooms assigned to the sell limit.

  • Reserved: Number of reservations made which count towards the sell limit.

  • Event: Activity indicator:

    • I indicates the inventory was entered.

    • U or V indicates the inventory was updated or changed.

    • D indicates the inventory was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity if updated via reservation it will read RESV.


View availability logs

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for availability.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to Availability Change.

  4. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made, searches up to seven days at a time.

    • Level: Choose where the restriction was placed from the dropdown.

    • Type: Choose the type of restriction applied to the level.

    • Rate Category: Choose from the dropdown to filter rate results.

    • Rate: Choose from the dropdown menu.

    • User Name: Enter a specific user name to search.

    • Room: Choose specific room type affected by changes.

    • Deleted items: Any room or rate that has since been deleted will appear in red or state (delete) next to it in the dropdown.

  5. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for availability logs

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Event Time: Date the change was made.

  • Date Ranges: Date(s) affected by the change.

  • Level: Specific areas being restricted.

  • Type: Specific restriction applied.

  • Detail: Specific element being restricted.

  • Days: If the restriction has days applied, those will be indicated here.

  • FPLOS: If the restriction has Full Pattern Length of Stay applied, those will be indicated here.

  • Event: Activity indicator:

    • I indicates the availability restriction was entered.

    • U indicates the availability restriction was updated or changed.

    • D indicates the availability restriction was removed.

  • Username: User who performed the activity, updates via integrated PMS or RMS will reflect those system names.


User operation logs

This menu has several tabs for users to view various areas of system changes for the entire chain of hotels or a specific property.

Search and filter options:

  • Users may select the chain or specific properties to view using the dropdown in the upper right-hand side of the screen.

  • Users may filter for specific actions and dates.

  • For some areas users may also choose how to view the displayed results by selecting the View Raw Changeset tick box to see the JSON format.

  • The results may be exported for further reference or research.

⚠️Important: These audit logs are retained in the system for 30 days after the action.


View credit card log

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for credit card information.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to View User Operation Log.

  4. Go to View Credit Card Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made.

    • Username: Filter for a specific user who made the change.

  6. Click View for the output.

  • Date: Date or time of the change.

  • Chain ID: Numerical ID.

  • Hotel ID: Numerical ID.

  • Username: Who made a change.


View user role change log

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for user roles.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to View User Operation Log.

  4. Go to View User Role Change Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made.

    • Username: Filter for a specific user who made the change.

  6. Click View for the output.

  • Level: Provides the ability to toggle results between all, chain, and property via the drop down at the top of the screen.

  • Date: Date or time of the change and presented in UTC.

  • Chain ID: Numerical ID.

  • Hotel ID: Numerical ID.

  • Username: Who made a change.

  • Modified information: Role name with old and new.


View CVV audit log

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for CVV audit.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to View User Operation Log.

  4. Go to View CVV Audit Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made.

    • Username: Filter for a specific user who made the change.

    • Resv Num: CRS confirmation number.

  6. Click View for the output.

  • Sr no: Series number.

  • ResvID: Confirmation number.

  • Hotel Name: Property affected.

  • Username: User who made the change.

  • Action: If removed via admin.

  • Last Update Time: to reservation.


View EBC user audit log

Follow the steps below to view the change logs for EBC user.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to View User Operation Log.

  4. Go to View EBC Audit Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made.

    • Show raw changeset: Check box to display or uncheck for formatted output.

  6. Click View for the output.

Report output columns for EBC user audit log

This is an explanation of the information you will see on the report.

  • Date: Date or time of the change and presented in UTC.

  • Admin screen name: Page or area of the EBC configuration.

  • Object type one and two: Specific channel affected.

  • Change set: Provides details about the change, such as sharing before or after changes.

  • Username: User who made the change.


View access code audit log

Follow the steps below to view access code audit log.

  1. Go to Chain Manager.

  2. Go to Admin Audit Logs.

  3. Go to View User Operation Log.

  4. Go to Access Code Audit Log tab.

  5. Enter search parameters:

    • Includes change log events that occur for the access code configuration.

    • Action: Select from dropdown

      • Create.

      • Modify.

      • Delete.

    • Date range: Select the date range reflecting when the change was made.

    • Show raw changeset: Check box to display or uncheck for formatted output.

  6. Click View for the output.

    • Policy: Select a policy already created from the dropdown.

    • Show raw changeset: Check box to display or uncheck for formatted output.

  6. Click View for the output.

    • Action: Select from dropdown

      • Create.

    • Security: Select from dropdown or select all.
