Availability validation tool guide
The availability validation tool allows users to quickly audit and troubleshoot rate configurations by testing how rates and availability appear to specific booking channels. This tool searches based on CRS configuration, inventory and restrictions, helping verify setup accuracy without needing to access individual channel systems.
Use this tool when:
Rate auditing: Verify that rates are configured correctly and appearing as expected on channels.
Troubleshooting: Identify why specific rates, rooms or discounts aren't showing for particular channels.
Configuration testing: Check your work after making rate or availability changes.

Direct-connect channels only: Works for channels that call the CRS directly for availability including CRS booking engine, voice application and GDS.
Not for extranet channels: Does not work for channels requiring separate mapping and setup on their platforms.
Access and location of the availability validation tool
The validation tool can be accessed in various places as listed below:
Home screen: Quick access for users.
Property level: Availability menu.
Chain manager menu.

Outlined below is how to access the availability validation tool from the home screen.
Go to CRS Home Screen and locate the availability validation tool in the middle of the screen.
Select the channel to query from the dropdown.
Enter future stay dates.
Enter the number of rooms.
Enter the number of adults.
Enter the number of children.
Click Availability.
The System returns all available room and rate options based on CRS configuration for that channel and occupancy.
Targeted search
Check specific elements or understand why something isn't appearing. Follow the steps below to learn how to use targeted search.

Select the channel to query from the dropdown.
Enter future stay dates.
Enter the number of rooms.
Enter the number of adults.
Enter the number of children.
Enter one or more specific criteria:
Room type validation:
Check Return Only Requested Room.
Enter specific room code to see only those results.
Rate code validation:
Check Return Only Requested Rate.
Enter CRS rate code or mapped GDS code.
Discount code validation:
Choose Discount Code from dropdown.
Verify discount code functionality.
Closed room investigation:
Check Closed Room Types.
View why specific rooms are unavailable.
Click Availability to see targeted results.
