Add-on categories
Add-on categories serve as groupings for individual add-ons within your CRS. Each add-on must be assigned to a category and can be updated at any time.
You have two approaches for managing add-on inventory and sell limits:
Individual add-on level
Set inventory for specific days by total or by room type.
Manage each add-on's availability separately.
Category level:
Set inventory to apply to all add-ons within the category by total or by room type.
Streamline availability for related services.
Create new add-on categories
Below will outline how to create new add-on categories:
Click Groups/Packages/Add-ons on the left navigation.
Click Add-ons Category.
Click the Create New tab.
Enter the Add-Ons Category Name.
Enter the Add-Ons Category Description.
This is used by custom integrations or internal reference.
Enter the Sorting number to control display order in the system.
Click Create New.
Click Cancel to abandon the set up.
Click the Multi-Language tab to enter translations if applicable.
Select the language from the dropdown menu.
Enter the translated Add-Ons Category Name.
Enter the translated Add-Ons Category Description.
Click Save.
Click Cancel to abandon the set up.
The category is now ready to have individual add-ons assigned to it.
๐Note: Multi-language functionality is a custom integration using add-on categories. Standard functionality presents and sells add-ons individually, with images and descriptions sourced from each specific add-on, not at category level.
Enable add-on category-level inventory control
Add-on category-level inventory is an optional feature that requires activation at the property level.

Click to Save.
๐Note: If you don't have access to perform this step reach out to your companyโs CRS administrator or contact the support team [email protected]
Activate inventory for specific add-on categories

Click Groups/Packages/Add-ons on the left navigation.
Click Add-ons Category.
Select the Add-on Category Name and you are brought to the modify tab.

โ ๏ธWarning: The system will ask you to confirm this action. Once enabled for a category, all individual add-ons within that category will be managed as a group using the category's inventory and sell limits. Individual add-on inventory and sell limit settings will no longer apply.
๐Note: If you don't have access to perform this step reach out to your companyโs CRS administrator or contact the support team [email protected]
