Revenue management system (RMS) interfaces and payment gateway log

Your CRS integrates with a variety of systems, each with unique functionality and features.

You can manage these integrations through chain manager if you have the appropriate permissions and your service agreement includes managing this area. Alternatively, the support team will work with you to determine the setup and manage these configurations on your behalf.

πŸ“ŒNote: Even if you're not handling the setup yourself, understanding the concepts and options available will help you make the best decisions for your hotel.

Below will outline RMS integration management and payment gateway management:

RMS integration management

Below will give an overview of the RMS interfaces:

  1. Click Chain Manager on the left navigation.

  2. Click RMS Interfaces.

  3. Click the Overview tab.

    • The overview tab displays all RMS interfaces configured for your chain.

    • You can use this area to monitor and manage your integrations.

    • The available information in this tab is:

      • Hotel code.

      • Hotel name.

      • RMS vendor which is the revenue management system provider.

      • Interface status:

        • True means it is active and ready to use.

        • False means it is not active.

    • The available actions in this tab is:

      • Filter the list by RMS vendor.

      • Search by hotel details to find relevant data.

      • Export the complete list.

  4. Click the Create New tab.

    • Use this area to configure the RMS for a specific hotel.

    • The options and available tabs adjust dynamically based on the RMS interface type you select from the dropdown menu.

⚠️Important: Every RMS has different features available for use with CRS integration. Consult the documentation for your specific RMS integration to understand the options available, how your hotel intends to use them, and the certified functionality.

  5. Click the Setup tab.

    • This area lets you view the existing configuration for a hotel's RMS integration and make changes as needed.

  6. Click the Activity tab.

    • You can view all RMS activity and filter by message type and status as needed.

    • The CRS displays any messages received from the RMS in the message column for easy troubleshooting.

    • Once you address an error, you can resend the message from this screen.

  7. Click the Error by Chain tab.

    • Chain users can view RMS messages for all hotels within their group on one screen.

    • This provides the same functionality as the Activity tab but with a chain-wide view.

  8. Click the Mapping tab.

    • Some RMS systems offer various elements to be mapped between the two systems to pass data as efficiently as possible.

    • This tab displays and manages these mapping configurations.

  9. Click the LRV Data tab.

    • Some RMS systems pass last room value or hurdle rates along with other booking information to control the strategy between system updates.

    • This information is displayed on this tab for reference or action.

Payment gateway management

Below will give an overview of the payment gateway management section:

  • Click Chain Manager on the left navigation.

  • Click Payment Gateway Log.

    • The payment gateway transactions screen will show and these are the actions you can take:

      • For systems that support this level of detail, this screen displays payments processed or attempted by the integration.

      • Depending on your service agreement, you may be managing this area or the SHR team may handle it on your behalf.

    • Available filters:

      • Chain or hotel: Use the dropdown in the upper right corner to select scope.

      • Date range filters transactions by specific time period.

      • Keyword is free text entry for searching specific transactions.

      • Status is the transaction status as recorded in the system.

⚠️Important: Every payment gateway has unique features available for use with CRS integration. Consult the documentation for your specific payment gateway integration to understand the options available, how your hotel intends to use them, and the certified functionality.

πŸ€“Tip: This information is useful for understanding the setup and concepts even if you're not directly managing the payment gateway configuration.
