If you're contracted for the CRS Channel Manager (Channel Connect), you benefit from direct integrations with 2000+ major global and local OTAs and leading metasearch platforms, giving you broad visibility across the channels that matter most.
Depending on your services agreement, you may manage the mapping and monitor interface messages yourself, or the support team may do this for you. Either way, understanding how the integrations work will help you know what's possible and troubleshoot issues.
You can use the Rates and Availability widget in the Channel Manager menu to see the rate, inventory, restriction and log information passed between the Channel Connect Manager and your OTAs. You can still use the activity logs as usual in External Booking Channel â SHR Channel Connect to see what was sent from the CRS to all channels, then use the Rates and Availability widget to see what's happening with an individual channel.
View rates and availability for a channel
Go to Chain Manager.
Go to Channel Connect Manager.
Go to Rates and Availability.
Use the calendar fields to input the starting date, then click the 14, 21 or 28 day view buttons to expand the view from the start date.
Without expanding the room details, you can see the inventory count in each date box. Click the link icon to open more details for the ARI, and to access logs of what was sent to the channel.
Click the down arrow next to the room type you want to see more details on, or use the room name/room ID filter to narrow down the list.
Once expanded, you'll see each rate plan that has rates loaded. If a room type doesn't expand, it has no rate plans with rate amounts. If a rate plan is mapped to more than one OTA channel, you'll see each channel name listed under that rate plan.
Click a rate amount field to open more details. Take note of the channel shown in the drop-down field.
Press ESC to close log pages.
PMS Updates represents what the CRS sent to the channels. Change this drop-down to a channel name for more details and to access that channel's logs.
When you view a channel listing, the inventory counts, rate amounts and listed restrictions reflect what was sent to the channel you selected.
Check the channel update status and logs
The Channel Update Status shows the last message sent and its status: S for success, or F for failure. Click into the Channel Update Log field to see a list of all logs.
Click the two overlapping squares icon to copy a message, or the square-with-arrow-out icon to view it. You'll then see separate messages for Inventory, Rate, and Restriction requests, and each message includes both the RQ (request) and RS (response).
