Travel agent commissions configuration guide
Travel agent commissions can be assigned at the property level or to specific rate codes, with flexible scheduling by day of week and date ranges. The property default commission policy applies to all commissionable rates unless a separate policy is assigned to specific rate codes.

GDS display: Commission percentages display in the GDS for travel agents to understand during the booking process.
Flexibility: Commission policies can be evergreen (ongoing) or tactical (temporary periods).
Create commission rules
Follow the steps below to learn how to create commission rules.
Go to Property Description.
Go to Policies.
Go to TA Commissions.
Go to Create New tab.
Enter descriptive name for the commission rule.
Choose calculation method or methods:
Percentage.
Flat amount.
Check Hotel Default if this commission should apply to all commissionable rates in absence of other assignments.
Click Recommend for Me to auto-generate agent description.
Click Save.
Assigning property-level commissions
Use these steps to strategically replace the default commission for the entire property.
Go to Property Description.
Go to Policies.
Go to TA Commissions.
Go to Assign to Property tab.
Click Activate New Commission Rule.
Commission policy - Choose from dropdown.
Begin date - Enter start date.
End date - Enter end date (leave blank for ongoing).
Days of week - Check applicable days based on guest arrival date.
Click Create New.
Assign rate code-specific commissions
Use these steps to assign rate code-specific commissions.
Go to Property Description.
Go to Policies.
Go to TA Commissions.
Go to Assign to Rate Code tab.
Click Activate New Commission Rule.
Commission policy - Choose from dropdown.
Rate category - Select to filter available rate codes.
Rate code - Choose specific rate code from dropdown.
Begin date - Enter start date.
End date - Enter end date, leave this blank if it is ongoing.
Days of week - Check applicable days based on guest arrival date
Click Create New.
