Reset user passwords

Help users regain access to their accounts with secure password reset options.

User self-service reset

Users can reset their own passwords from the login screen without administrator assistance.

Follow the steps below for self service password reset:

  1. Go to the CRS Login Screen.

  2. Click Forgot your Password?

  3. Enter your Username.

  4. Click Request New Password.

  5. Check your email for the temporary password.

  6. Log in as usual using the temporary password.

  7. Follow the system prompts to create a new permanent password.

πŸ“ŒNote: The temporary password is sent to the email address on file for your username.


Reset another users property level password

Follow the steps below to reset another users property level password:

  1. Go to the property level security menu.

  2. Go to user profile.

  3. Click the username you want to reset from the list.

  4. Click the Password Reset tab.

  5. Click Reset password.

  6. The system sends a temporary password to the user's email address.

  7. Have the user log in with the temporary password.

  8. The user will be prompted to create a permanent password.

⚠️Important: If you have client manager access, you can reactivate a user or create a new one. For all others, contact support [email protected]


Reset another chain manager users password

If you have chain level administrator or security access, you can reset passwords for chain level as well as property level users.

Follow the steps below to reset another users chain level password:

  1. Go to the chain manager menu.

  2. Go to the security menu.

  3. Go to user profile.

  4. Click the username you want to reset from the list.

  5. Click the Reset Password button.

  6. The system sends a temporary password to the user's email address.

  7. Have the user log in with the temporary password.

  8. The user will be prompted to create a permanent password.


Administrator reset for chain or property users

If you have client manager access, you can manage both chain and property level user passwords from a centralized location.

Follow the steps below to manage both chain and property level user passwords from a centralized location:

  1. Go to client manager.

  2. Go to user management.

  3. Locate the user.

  4. Click Reset Password on the same row as their name.

  5. The system sends a temporary password to the user's email address.

  6. Have the user log in with the temporary password.

  7. The user will be prompted to create a permanent password.

Password reset process

All password reset methods follow the same secure process outlined below:

  • Temporary password sent:

    • The system generates and emails a secure temporary password.

  • User logs in:

    • User accesses the system with the temporary password.

  • Forced password change:

    • System immediately prompts for a new permanent password.
